CHAPTER 1: The Mind Is the Battlefield

From Mary’s case, the stronghold has been built along with her background. Her problems started long ago when Jesus has not entered in her life. And after she received Jesus, devil already waging war on the battlefield of her mind.

I would like to share my experienced that probably has connection to Mary’s case.

At that time I didn’t really invite Jesus to take control in my life. I was in an unequal relationship that only a year and half we were on the same agreement and perspective. After a year and half, many things changed, and it came along with disappointment. With that, my mind came up with conclusion that only about a year or so people will enjoy their relationship, and after that everything turns out opposite from what we expected.

Later after I have Jesus take control in my life, I am in a new relationship, which in Him we trust. Even I say in Him we trust, I act so precautions after one year of the relationship. I would react negatively to a simple misunderstanding. I would start to find the problems similarity from my past relationship that I am afraid will happen to my current relationship. Instead of trusting God, I will use my own strength and all the reason I have to argue and to blame.

I can see the past that we have experienced is been used by the devil in directing our mind to protect ourselves for not being hurt again. As if we are doing it for our own good. The stronghold makes us trusting the flesh, and using our own strength to get away from the same problem. Only Jesus, He is the truth who can set us free from our stronghold.

When we are God’s children, the devil still will deceit, trick and mislead our mind. He will slowly enter to our unguarded mind and spirit. That is why we are engaged in a war. We are fighting the master spirits. We need to build an effective prayer life. Everyday of our life we need the Word of God as our weapon, because the Word of God is the truth that can set us free.

Chapter 1. The Mind is the battlefield

Hi Friends, This is our first time book study thru the internet, I am so glad that God put a great people like you so I can learn from you. Please freely pour out your knowledges and wisdoms in our comment section. so We can grow together. Without any delay, let's just talk about it.

The first chapter of this book talk about how important is our mind.

Two important points in the first chapter are: The way we think about ourselves, and how the past experiences will bring a huge impact to our future.

Study case: Mary and John.

The author is give a summary of the situation :

1. We are engaged in a war.

I believe that We are engaged in a war that "no eyes can seen. " It is not like a terrorism, or anykind of war. But The bible said that they are mighty before God for the overhtrow and destruction of strongholds."

my personal experience: I experienced a lot of battle sometimes hard to tell the truth, or not lying. Eventhough it is just a simple thing but Satan is trying to put a aproach in our lives, so he will easily enter to our lives. Remember: Sin will open a way for Satan.

2. Our Enemy is Satan.

3. Our mind is the battlefield.

Sometimes, our mind is working unconsiously, It is not set by what I want to think, but they are automaticaly works in a way that I do even not want it. In a way, It is hard to control our mind if we never learn to control it. But How can we control it???

4. The Devil diligently set up the stronghold in our mind.

Therefore, not only one time temptation, but many temptations can come and rule in our mind. It is really hard to deal. But thank you that Jesus always has the way out.!

5. He does it thru strategy.

I know why Many times Satam won over people? because he knows the strategy. He've been around since Adam and eve were there in the Eden Garden. We need God's strategy as well.

6. He is in no hurry.

"Patience" is the word that easy to say but hard to do it. We must learn to be patience in waiting God's timing to work perfectly in our lives.

Admittenly, Satans have strategies but I believe that God always help us with the way out. As His children, I believe we can win the battlefeild of our mind. As long as God rules in us, We are stronger than man's strength

The way out:

1. Roman 12:2 " RENEWAL OF YOUR MIND." I am pretty sure this topic is what we are going to learn thru entire of this book. How to renew our mind?

2. John 8:31. By the WORD, we can renewed our mind.

3. Luke 4:18 Know who we are in God.

4. 1 Chorintian 10:13 by Knowing that God is faithful to us.

I have an idea, how about we print those four verses and meditate on those night and day, and night and days????
