This verse is very true. Why people struggle a lot in their live, just simply because they have a wrong thought.
This verse is so poweful, even James Allen also wrote a book title " As a man thinketh." In this book he wrote "Let a man cease from his sinful thoughts, and all the world will soften towards him, and be ready to help him; let him put away his weakly and sickly thought, and lo, opportunities will spring up on every hand to aid his trong resolves, let him encourage good thoughts, and no hard fate shall bind him down to wretchedness and shame. The world is your kaleidoscope and the varying combinations of colours, which at every succeeding moment it presents to you are the exquisitely adjust picuters of your ever-moving thoughts."
When I visited the body exhibition, I was gazing on 'the preserved brain'; a very small spec in our body, yet take a fully control over all bodies. It made me realize how important our mind is.
Yet, The word of God said that not by might, by power, only by His spirit.
My assumption is if we possess a will power alone is not enough, but with the prayer, and meditate on his word will enable us to have a right thinking.
Eventhough, our thought is in "the secret place," but It will reveal the true person in us. You will be valued thru your fruits.
My personal touch,
It used to be really hard to control my mind, many wrong and negative thoughts keep coming in my mind whether I realize it or not. I tried too many things to keep away negative thought, but I can't resist it. I used to be a person who think that The best will never come, or I will never make it, or I am not lucky enough, I am unable to be a person that pleased God, or please my love one. I am not great enough. Whenever, I am alone, I felt lonely, I felt that I am not good for mingle out with others, or Whenever I am fail, I felt that I will never win. I felt afraid to take chance.
As I wrote here, I knew that How easy "bad" thought come to my mind, even the most dangerous one, such as a bad image about myself.
I am learning to be positive by the word of God. I learn to know my image in Him, I am learning that God can change me, and I need to change.
In fact, I hear from the sermon that "The constant thing in this earth is change."
I want to learn to choose my thought becauseI want to learn how to overcome the battle in my mind. That's why I put on this picture; the phrase is so true: " Imagination is the preview of live coming's attraction."

We can’t have the mind of flesh and walk in spirit.
Talking about Vital, it is something so important that one simply cannot live without it.
In Christian life the word and prayer is the vital necessity.
With the Word and prayer, we depend more on God. It becomes our breathe of life, that we can’t life without. When we give it first priority in our life, with the help of Holy Spirit, our mind will become align with God.
Through Prayer and the Word our spiritual eyes is being open to see something that we can’t see with human eyes. When we realize the problem, get it straightened out immediately so that the devil will not build a stronghold in our mind.
The right thinking is vital to victorious living. And right thinking produces good fruit. (Matthew 12:3), the thought is the tree and the attitude is the fruit.
